Who you're dealing with

These terms are between you and CircuMind Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17425654). Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Contact: support@circumind.co.uk.

They apply when you create a CircuProbe account at api.circumind.co.uk and when you subscribe to Insight. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

What Insight is

Insight is the AI subscription for CircuProbe Vision and Studio. A Vision with the subscription is CircuProbe Insight; a Studio with the subscription is CircuProbe Insight Pro. Insight and Insight Pro are priced separately. The subscription connects the CircuProbe app to more advanced AI models on the CircuProbe server, and adds board understanding and the build–flash–verify loop. It needs no new hardware, but it does not work with CircuProbe Core or Vision. You need a CircuProbe account and an internet connection.

Plans and prices

  • Monthly: £[price] a month.
  • Yearly: £[price] a year.

[VAT wording to be confirmed.] You pay through Stripe at the start of each period, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. If we change the price, we will tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before it applies, and the new price starts at your next renewal after that.

Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time in the billing portal: log in at api.circumind.co.uk/dashboard and choose Manage billing.
  • After you cancel, you won't be charged again. Insight keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops.
  • We don't refund part-used periods, except under the 14-day right below or where the law requires.

Your 14-day right to cancel

When you first subscribe, you have 14 days to change your mind. If you cancel within those 14 days we will refund you. Because Insight starts straight away at your request, we may take off an amount for the time you have already had it. [Legal review: confirm wording under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.]

Using Insight offline

The CircuProbe app checks your subscription with our server. After a successful check, Insight stays switched on for up to 7 days without a connection. Each time the app reconnects, the 7 days start again. The AI answers themselves need an internet connection.

If your subscription ends, Insight switches off when the last 7-day check runs out. Your board goes back to being a Vision or Studio, and those features keep working as normal.

Fair use and daily limits

To keep Insight fast and fair for everyone, each account has a daily limit and a per-minute limit on requests. The current limits are 300 requests a day and 20 a minute. We may change them. If we lower them significantly, we will tell you first. If you reach a limit, Insight pauses until the limit resets.

Please don't:

  • share your account or account key, or resell access to Insight;
  • use scripts or other tools to get around the limits;
  • use Insight for anything unlawful or harmful, or try to break into or overload the service.

Your subscription covers [one] board at a time. To move it to another board, release the old one on your account page.

Your account

  • Use a real e-mail address you check, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and account key private. If you think someone else has your key, make a new one on your account page.
  • You must be [18] or over to buy a subscription. [Legal review: minimum age, and accounts for schools.]

About AI answers

Insight's answers are produced by AI models. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before relying on them, especially before you change wiring, power a circuit or flash firmware. You are responsible for what you build and the firmware you write to a chip.

CircuProbe is a digital instrument for 0–5 V logic. It is not isolated. Never connect mains voltages, inductive loads, or anything above 5 V, whatever an answer suggests.

Changes and availability

We work to keep Insight running, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or if an AI provider has an outage. We may change which AI models Insight uses, as long as the service you get stays substantially the same or better. If we ever stop offering Insight, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any time you have paid for but can't use.

We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where payment fails and isn't put right. Unless it would be unlawful or unsafe, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don't limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. [Legal review: liability wording for business customers.]

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top, and e-mail subscribers about any important change before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there.
